How much HF-100 should I use per club?
Spray just enough solvent to cover the entire length of the grip tape. Add an additional one or two pumps of the sprayer into the grip. Pour excess HF-100 from inside the grip onto the tape.
-
How many clubs can I do per oz of solvent?
1 oz of HF-100 is enough to grip an entire set of clubs (14 clubs)
-
What’s the difference between HF-100 and other solvents?
HF-100 is nonflammable, odorless, and does not use harsh scented chemicals. HF-100 is manufactured with the highest quality compounds. HF-100 Spray bottles are easier to use, reduces clean-up and uses less solvent.
-
What is the self-life of HF-100?
HF-100 has an unlimited self-life when stored at room temperature 72°F / 22°C
-
Can I pour HF-100?
We recommend spraying HF-100 as you will probably use too much when you pour and set up time can be extended.
-
How long should I wait before playing with newly gripped clubs?
If the correct amount is applied per the installation instructions your clubs will be ready for play in 20 minutes.
-
Will this work with all types of grip tape?
Yes, HF-100 will activate the adhesive on all grip tapes.
-
What length of tape should be used for gripping clubs?
Use a piece of tape the same length as the grip. A ¼” of tape will be pushed into the end of the shaft and this will ensure your grip tape doesn’t extend beyond your grip.
-
How do I fix a grip that gets stuck halfway?
First don’t panic. If you have access to an air compressor, tightly wrap a towel around the grip and then apply some air into the small hole at end of the grip. You will have two options:
- Push the grip onto the shaft
- Pull the grip off and re-install
If you don’t have an air compressor, you can use a thin wire coat hanger and cut off about 10-12 inches in length and remove any sharp edges. Gently work the coat hanger underneath the grip and apply a small amount of HF-100 into the gap created by the coat hanger. Slowly work the fluid and coat hanger down the grip until the grip unsticks and pulls off.
-
Can you leave the old tape on the shaft as a layer of build-up to make the new grip a little larger?
Yes, only if the old tape remains fully intact and smooth of bumps after the removal of the old grip. If not, we recommend removing all the old tape and install new layers to build up to your desired thickness.
